A bit chilly in the Smoky Mountains

Initially begun in early america as a trail known as the Indian Gap Trail along the Little Pigeon River used by the members of the Cherokee tribe for many years has developed into what is now known as Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge resort destinations in Sevier County, Tennessee.cimg0975.jpg

These areas have seen much changes through the years with the advent of the Civil War and the subsequent logging and decision to relocate settlers in the Cades Cove area, and creation of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. With each passing season, the area continues to change and grow.

Venturing out into the cool crisp March air.  One could feel everything as it was awakening, both nature and Gatlinburg coming to life.  The warmth of the early Spring sun as it reached down from above to bring this hope of Spring.  She walked and observed.  Unlike the days that will come in the summer and fall, few travelers along the way.
