Her Key

This is what my Mamaw Lilly told me before she died.

She called me over and I stood by her side.

She was sick and said,

when she was dead,

all her clocks would no longer tick.

An owl would fly past her,

and her death would come faster.

Her key on a string, she told me to bring.

On your neck this must be,

and each night my words you will plea

It will keep you, my key, from harm.

Your Charm.
